Designing Model of Content and Structural Characteristics in Social Capital and Organizational Success (Case Study: Arak University of Medical Sciences)

Abstract:

Introduction: Improvement and success of the organization includes a wide range of activities with endless developments, and in order to increase organizational success, it is necessary to identify content and structural factors as well as social capital in the administrative system. Therefore, the present study aims to design the role model of the content and structural factors on the organization with social capital and organizational success in Arak University of Medical Sciences. Methods: This research is developmental in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in nature. The statistical population of the study was all employees of Arak University of Medical Sciences, from which a sample of 305 people was selected. A researcher-made questionnaire was used to collect information. Descriptive and inferential statistical methods (correlation test and structural equation modeling) were used to analyze the data. Results: Based on the opinions and suggestions of experts, five dimensions (strategy and goals, technology, size, organizational culture and environment) are content factors and three dimensions (complexity, formality and Focus) are Structural factors in model. Organizational success with three-dimensional (organizational agility, knowledge sharing and innovation) and social capital with three-dimensional (structural, specialized, and communicative) are in the model. Structural factors have a significant positive effect on organizational success(r = 0.120) and social capital(r = 0.116), and content factors have a significant effect on organizational success(r = 0.780) and social capital(r = 0.771). Conclusions: According to the final model and the positive effect of structural and content factors on organizational success and social capital, by controlling these factors, organizational success and social capital can be strengthened.
